Crispy Oven-Baked Birria Pizza

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pizza dough
  • 2 cups shredded beef birria
  • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup birria consommé
  • 2 tbsp cornmeal
  • 1/2 red onion sliced
  • Fresh cilantro
  • Lime wedges

Equipment

  • Oven
  • Baking sheet or pizza stone
  • Rolling Pin
  • Mixing bowl

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to highest temperature available.
  2. Roll out pizza dough and place on a cornmeal-dusted surface.
  3. Spread a thin layer of birria consommé over the dough.
  4. Add a layer of cheese, then the shredded birria beef.
  5. Top with remaining cheese.
  6. Bake for 10–15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  7. Garnish with onion, cilantro, and lime.
  8. Serve with warm consommé for dipping.

Notes

Do not overload with sauce to avoid soggy crust.
Use fresh cheese for best melt.
Serve immediately for best texture.
