Quick and Easy Taco Bowl

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 2 cups shredded romaine lettuce
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1 can black beans rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 avocado sliced
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Saucepan
  • - Mixing bowls

  • Cutting board

Method
 

  1. Cook the rice according to package instructions and keep warm.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook the ground beef until browned.
  3. Add all spices and a splash of water, then simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Prepare toppings: shred lettuce, slice avocado, halve tomatoes, rinse beans.
  5. Assemble bowls starting with rice, then beef, followed by toppings.
  6. Add sour cream or yogurt on top.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

Store components separately for best freshness.
Use cauliflower rice for a low-carb version.
Toast spices briefly for deeper flavor.
